2. About the project
SuperNova asked Beatmap to create four non photorealistic 3D illustrations to help explain Ulcerative Colitis (UC) to medical students.
The agency’s medical consultant provided us with some background and photos of the disease.
From the design proposals that Beatmap created, the client chose the one with ‘plastic/rubber’ material. These renderings were then approved by the medical faculty. They had a good reception and the faculty was happy with the final result.
In addition, we also created a web application to demo our interactive skills. Using the same resources that we used to create the 3D illustrations in addition to some custom programming, we created a web app that gives the illusion to ‘fly’ into the human model, ending at the same views that were created for the renderings.
